BUSY AND DISAPPOINTED

I gave my  mail lady a Shambala bracelet.  I told her it means good luck.  So she had some friends call me and order a bunch of them.  I'm still working on them.
I like the one on the bottom right with spikes.  I should send it to Abbie on NCIS.

PACKERS vs. BEARS

I have a friend at home who's from Wisconsin but lives in Illinois and has some friends who are Packer fans and some who are Bears fans.  She asked me to make pens for all her football friends.
The bottom one was my gift to her.  These all have the magnets on them so they will stick to the refrigerator or a metal cabinet.

My doctor is having a baby boy and I made this blanket for her.  This is a great pattern.  If you crochet and want the pattern, let me know.

WHY I'M DISAPPOINTED

I belong to a polymer clay swap group.  This time we did a bead soup swap.  I sent mine out 4 weeks early.  The cut off date was April 12th and I still haven't received anything back from my swap partner.  I haven't heard from the person that was my swap partner either.  If you commit to do a swap, make sure you make that a priority.  I worked hard on the things that I sent out and the other pieces and findings that I sent weren't cheap.  I even sent it flat rate priority mail to make sure it got there.  When I make something for a swap I try to put the best energy and creative ability that I have into it.  If you are sick or had a death in the family or at least have a reasonable excuse it's understandable.  But not to even contact the person at all is totally unacceptable.

TWEET TWEET DAY 2

I was worried about the babies in the cactus because it has been very windy here.  I just checked on them and the parents were there.  They flew away when they saw me so I took the opportunity to take another picture.  One of the little birds had a feather stuck on his beak.

They are wrens not Quail.  The parents are very loud.

THE PENS ARE DONE!  WHEW

The pens are done, individually wrapped and in the mail.

This is just part of them.  I ran out of room on the refrigerator.  The magnet will stick to the metal eye so it can be turned into a beaded ring if they don't want to put them on the refrigerator.  Now to clean up all the beads and stuff.

SOMETHING FUNNY

I found this the other day and couldn't live without it.

It says "Husband and Cat missing - $100 reward for Cat".  My husband laughed and then made a face and walked away.  He knows he's worth more than $100.  LOL

BURRO POOP PART 3 AND PEN SWAP

OK, the burro poop didn't work for me.  I have a bag of dried burro poop if anyone is interested.  For sale, CHEAP.  Got a free room and some free food at the casinos and had a good time but the burro poop must only work for the person that picks it up off the ground.

GUILD PEN SWAP

Tomorrow is our monthly guild meeting and we are having a pen swap.  These are a few that I made.

They have a lucky lady bug in the middle of the heart and the top part is a magnetic beaded piece so it will go on the refrigerator.  I put them in a bag with a magnetic list note pad so it can also go on the refrigerator.  I made pendants for each bag and stamped everyone's name on the back of the pendant.  Attached the pendant to to swivel lobster so it go on a purse or bag.  One of our girls is a motorcycle mama so I made a special one for her.

This one I made out of the cane I made last week.  This one is for a really sweet lady with a big heart.

PICTURE FRAMES

My friend Evelyn made some frames for her great niece and nephew who are twins and Evelyn is a twin.  They love horses and cowboys.  Evelyn was an art major and taugh art her whole working life.  She's also got macular degeneration and is having considerable problems seeing.  I think she does great even though things are usually pretty blurry for her.  These are the frames she did.

YEAH EVELYN.  Love that cowgirl hat that she hand made.  These are all covered in polymer clay.  The horses and boots are Jesse James buttons that she used some Rub n Buff on.  I think these are awesome.

Can't wait to see the pens I get tomorrow.  I'm making little bears right now for The Beads of Courage so I better get back to work.  Just wanted to put in an update on the burro poop.
